The d’Arâches Carroz is a village resort Haute-Savoie located on the heights of the town d’Arâches. The creation of the resort dates back to 1939 when the first ski lift was put there on, the route of the current cable car to Kedeuze. Therefore, the tourist activity never ceased to grow, and the Alpine resort of Les Carroz to expand. Now, a quarter of the Les Carroz clientele consists of skiers in the day, which is due to the proximity to the Autoroute Blanche.
The station is part of the ski area of the Grand Massif, which rises to 2,500 meters above sea level to the summit of the Grandes Platières and totals 265 km of tracks. It connects ski-to-door several stations (click on the stations to access their respective page):
– Flaine ,
– Les Carroz d’Araches ,
– Morillon ,
– Samoëns ,
– Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval , the lowest point of the area (where a shuttle ski bus allows to regain the other stations).
